What is the difference between magpul mbus and pts

Not worth it to me. Take that from a guy who has paid his share of "Stupid Tax" when ordering AR stuff online. Just sayin By signing up you agree to our User Agreement. Contact Us Advertising. All of authentic Magpul USA products that secure to a rail use flat-head screws. I believe the PTS air-soft stuff all uses smaller hex screws.

The front will come in its own packaging and the rear in its own packaging -- basically you have to order each separately. Mine shipped and enroute now. How can I tell? Can you tell at all? I have read that the finish and lockup on the PTS are quite a bit worse. First they come In different packages. PTS will come in a box. Real magpul will come in Magpul hanging bags.

I belive PTS will also be marked on the font of the sight. And finally Real Mbus will have Blue lock-tight on the screws. What's real steel? They are made of plastic? Magbus, so yes, the same plastic pmags are made from. Not as nice as the Troys steel but half the price, and anecdotally still very durable. Lightweight, holds zero, and faster to deploy than most flip ups.

Good job snagging a pair. If you got more than one I call dibs! I have several sets. I'm just not familiar with that term "real steel. Just bought some real MBUS gen 2's at a legitimate dealer. The lock-tight is now yellow on their screws, just like on their grips. Just don't want you to mislead any folks. And will melt if mounted to a railed gas block.

Think he meant to type "real deal" and hasn't realized his post title has a typo Considering the price he paid, I'd say he should have said "real steal". Just don't want you to mislead any folks I did not know that I bought both my sets months ago. But either way I do not think there is lock-tight on the PTS. The PTS sights are made to a high standard compared to most other Airsoft items but they are not to be used in an operational environment.

Could you put PTS sights on a plinker 22 and hit cans with them? Yes they will probably work, but if you are using your rifle for serious work then buy the real tools for the job.
