I know — you want to capture memories to keep for a lifetime. But save yourself some stress and just make these memories in your mind. If you insist on bringing your electronics or valuables, rent a locker to keep everything safe while you play! Rain is nearly non-existent, and the temps rarely get up high enough to make it miserable.

But I put my toes in the water and was delighted to discover how warm it was — and then the sun came out anyway and the weather was perfect. I know. Bring sunscreen for both your body AND lips and apply it liberally at least every 90 minutes.

Speaking of feet, bring flip flops. There are plenty of food options available in the park, but if your kids are picky or you want to save some money, pack a lunch. If you forget your bottle, you can always pick one up at the park. Whether you peruse the map online before you go to check out height restrictions for the various activities, or walk around the park as soon as you get there to see everything in person, scope out all the activities your kids want to do so you can plan to fit them all in.

The park itself was bigger than I had previously thought with more rides for littles than I had expected — find those and make sure you get them on your to-do list for the day! The park offers two extra thrills if you are up for it or are ready to shell out a few bucks more to experience them. Those with an Annual Pass receive special discounts on these.

The Soaring Eagle zooms you high above the ground for terrific views of the park, before zipping back down again. For the real adrenaline addicts in your fam, the attention-getting I-5 Dive Skycoaster is an exhilarating, high bungee drop that will give you a good view of the park if you dare to open your eyes.

This one is surprisingly fun for both kids and their parents. Little pilots will enjoy buzzing grownups in Red Baron biplanes, while budding train drivers clatter down the tracks of the Enchanted Railway.

After you bounce, take your tiny thrill-seeker for a go on the Kiddie Coaster. For the littlest members of your family, the Kiddie Combo and Ferris Wheel are a must. On the Kiddie Combo, kids can pick their mode of transportation—a fire engine, moon buggy, antique car, dune buggy or sports car. The mini Ferris Wheel offers a gentle spin and cool views from a not-too-high vantage point.

Check the website to see how tall or how small you need to be to go on each ride. You can bring your own non-glass water bottle or buy an official Wild Waves cup and refill it with ice water for free from any concession stand. Find them at the Snack Shop near the main gate, along with cotton candy and other treats. Like many theme parks, the food here is expensive and not very nutritious. You may want to pack a cooler and leave it in your car. Just be sure to get your hand stamped when you exit so you can come back in!

Regardless of the type of tickets you want, ordering them online is the way to go. You can print the tickets at home or save them to your phone. Plus, purchasing your tickets online will significantly shorten your waiting time getting into the park. While many families wait until the weather gets good and hot to visit Wild Waves, the cheapest time to go is during the month of June when the tickets are almost half price.

However, the operating hours are all over the board with some days closing as early as 4 p. If you are a military family, the park offers discounts on single-day admission tickets.

In order to purchase a discounted military admission ticket, show a valid, active military ID at any of the front gate ticket booths. There are no discounts of any kind on season passes.

Don't forget to check out the Premium Season Pass and Bundle too for additional perks and savings. Space is limited so please call as early as you can! Pets must be picked up at and emergency contact provided before you can enter the park. Please do not leave your pets in your vehicle!

Checks are only accepted at the ticket booth. Smoking policy: Smoking is permitted in designated smoking areas only. These areas are conveniently located throughout the park. Safety: You are entering this park and participating in activities at your own risk.

Non-swimmers should be accompanied by an adult or guardian and never left unattended. We do not carry medical insurance. All lifeguards are certified through Ellis and Associates, a national waterpark safety program. Certified Lifeguards are stationed at all attractions and they are in charge of the pools and slides at all times. Please obey all posted signs and regulations. Attraction ratings and rules are posted at each attraction to inform guests about water depths, speed, heights, enclosures, physical limitations and the skills required.

Every effort has been made to make your visit safe and enjoyable. Wild Water West Waterpark rides are participatory.

Rider safety and enjoyment are dependent upon the observation of posted rules and personal judgement of the guests. Guests must assume responsibility for their own actions within the park.
